DOHA : Algerian star Baghdad Bounedjah has resumed training with Qatar Stars League (QSL) giants Al Sadd, the club said on Monday.
Bounedjah was away on national duty for Algeria who were part of the football competition at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
The 24--year-old forward played three games in Rio - against Honduras, Argentina and Portugal.
The striker underwent fitness drills before hitting the pitch for further training on Sunday.
Al Sadd last month returned from a summer training camp in Austria where they played and practiced from July 16 to 30.
Coached by Jesualdo Ferreira, Al Sadd will take on Al Kharaitiyat in the opening game of the new QSL season on September 16.
The squad is currently in training mode, attending practice sessions under the watchful gaze of Ferreira.
The new QSL season starts on September 15.
