QSL side Al Wakrah has confirmed that president HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hassan Al Thani will be president for the club till 2020.

The decision was made at the clubs general assembly on Monday evening. Club members also elected Salman Abdullah Abdulghani to continue as his role as deputy for a further four years.

Away from the general assembly, and Al Wakrah have continued to train at their preseason camp in Turkey. The Blue Waves are set to play a host of friendly matches against local sides before returning to Doha on the 26th of August. The club will then begin to focus on the first tie of the QSL season, when they will take on El Jaish.
