QNB Stars League team Al Sadd are bracing for their sixth and final Group C match in the AFC Champions League against Iran’s Persepolis.

The game will be played at the Azadi Stadium in Tehran on 16th April.

The Al Sadd players, under the guidance of Portuguese coach Jesualdo Ferreira, resumed their training sessions after a day’s rest following their 9-1 victory over Al Kharaitiyat in the QNB Stars League on 7th April.

Ali Faridoun, who was nursing an injury, joined the training, where Ferreira is focusing more on the fitness aspect of the players.

Al Sadd had stormed into the knockout stage of the tournament following their 2-1 victory against the UAE’s Al Wasl on 2nd April.

The Wolves are topping Group C with 12 points, followed by Persepolis (10) and Uzbekistan’s Nasaf (seven). Al Wasl have yet to open their account.
