
Speaking at the signing, Sheikh Saud was glad to continue the sponsorship agreement with the QIC; “I am pleased to conclude this deal, Qatar Insurance Company is one of the most prestigious and oldest companies in Qatar. Our success on the pitch this season is in part thanks to our relationship with our sponsors.”
Sheikh Saud also addressed questions in regards to players leaving the squad this season. “We will be keeping the majority of the squad that won the league title; the only exception is Mohammed Jumma who will be returning to parent club El Jaish.”
In closing the press conference, Salem bin Khalaf Vice Chairman of Qatar Insurance Company wished the club success in the defense of their QSL title. “I would like to congratulate Al Rayyan on their fantastic season, and wish them the best for their title defense.”
The Al Rayyan squad will now break for the summer, before starting their preseason training ahead of the start of the QSL season on the 15th of September.
