Al Rayyan on Wednesday started preparations for their QNB Stars League Round 8 match against Al Arabi, scheduled for 19th November.

The players got three days’ rest after their QSL Cup Round 4 game against Umm Salal on Sunday, which they won to qualify for the semifinals with an all-win record.

All players, including Omar Barri, Ahmed Abdul Maksoud, Abdul Hamid Enad, Sultan Al Kuwari and Muwafaq Awad, who recently did duty with Qatar’s senior and Olympic teams, attended the training session.

Al Rayyan are currently placed second in the QNB Stars League standings with 18 points ahead of Al Sadd who have the same number of points. The goal difference (nine) is also same, but Al Rayyan had scored more number of goals.

Al Rayyan had defeated Qatar SC 2-0 in Round 7 before the league went into a fortnight-long break due to international commitments.
