QNB Stars League side Al Gharafa is ready to play their first friendly during the on-going pre-season training camp in the Netherlands.
Coached by Frenchman Christian Gourcuff, Al Gharafa will play the first friendly on July 14 followed by another game on July 17.
Al Gharafa has confirmed it will feature in a friendly tournament organized by Al Nasr SC of Oman.
The former QNB Stars League champions are currently preparing for the new football season which kicks off on August 4.
In the Oman event, Al Gharafa will meet hosts Al-Nasr SC in the opening clash of the tournament. Tunisia's Club Sportif Sfaxien will face Ismaily Sporting Club in another clash.
It is expected that the head of football at Al Gharafa, Mahmoud Al Ghazal, will join the team's mission at the camp on Monday to oversee the progress of the side.
On the other hand, the training of the team on Sunday received a Dutch media attention.
One of the Dutch television channels covered Al Gharafa's training sessions while a number of Dutch citizens were allowed to get a glimpse of the players in action.
Dutch football star Wesley Sneijder is Al Gharafa captain. Sneijder moved to Al Gharafa at the start of January this year, helping the club finish in fourth spot in the final QNB Stars League standings
