Oswaldo Oliviera, the head coach of Al Arabi spoke about last week’s heavy defeat against Al Sadd, “what happened was a shock, when I came to Al Arabi we won the first game, the second match we lost to Al Ahli and then we did a good performance against Gharafa. Many things can affect the game but we can not give a justification for what happened last week.”

He Continued adding that he would need the support of the fans in the remaining matches, “the main goal is to keep the team in the championship, so I call on all Al Arabi players and fans to support the club and help us in order to get out of this difficult situation.”

“There is a big difference between past and present in the Al Arabi team, I would stress that we need a lot of support to get out of this tough situation in the final few matches,” added the Brazilian tactician at the press conference on Thursday.

Al Wakrah are stuck at the bottom of the table and desperately need points in order to survive in the league. The Waves will be fighting for the three points abganist their upcoming opponents.

Al Wakrah Assistant Coach, Lotfi Rouessi, wants his team to take advantage of Al Arabi’s defeat last week, “This is an important match. We are facing teams who are coming back from bad defeats. We will try to win as we have to stop defeats or draws. We will face the opponent with the hope to collect some much needed points.”

Speaking about the last game, He added, “We provided a good performance against Shahaniya but consistency wasn’t there and we are lacking efficiency in front of goal. And because of that we are losing points.”

“The reason for our lack of goals could be that we are missing a classic striker. When you have 10-15 chances and only one goal then something is wrong. Next match I will be willing to win even with an average performance as we need points,” added the Tunisian Assistant coach.
