Last Thursday 6th of November at Newton British Academy, school pupils were celebrating a special International Day which consisted of students, dressing up in traditional clothing, displaying flags and bringing in foods from Nations across the world. During the day there were also assemblies in which students were awarded for various activities. To the surprise of the students from school years 1 and 2, Al Arabi Sports Clubs Audience and Marketing Manager Mr. Abdulla Al-Naama and GOALZ Manager James Mwale visited two assemblies to award the players who took part in the GOALZ end of term festival the previous week.
In front of all their peers, the 13 proud students were awarded with a gold medal and certificate each by Mr. Abdulla Al-Naama from Al Arabi Sports Club. After the presentation the students were all excited to talk with Mr Abdulla Al-Naama about their football experiences in the festival.
Qatar Stars League GOALZ Manager James Mwale also commented: “It was great to see Mr. Abdulla Al-Naama from Al Arabi Sports Club at the event and awarding these students who are from one of the local schools linked to the club. Each child had a great experience during the GOALZ festival and it’s even better that an Al Arabi representative was also available to come and meet with the kids. It has made the whole experience for each one of these children that little bit more special.”
