Al Sailiya defender Othman Al-Aqib has successfully underwent cruciate ligament surgery at ASPETAR hospital on Tuesday afternoon after he picked up the injury against Al Ahli in round 8 of the QSL season.

Al-Aqib was joined by members of Al Sailiya management and staff who wished the young defender well at the hospital. It is likely that Al-Aqib will miss the majority of the current QSL season as he recovers from his surgery and begins rehabilitation.

In Aqib’s absence Al Sailiya registered only their second win of the season against Muaither 1-0. A result which has saw Sailiya pull out of the relegation zone for the first time this season.
