DOHA : Qatar Stars League (QSL) outfit Al Ahli lost to Baniyas of the UAE in a friendly played in the Netherlands, the club announced on Monday.<br />

Both teams are in the Netherlands for pre-season training camps.<br />
Baniyas won the friendly 2-0.<br />

Earlier, Al Ahli also lost to Antalya of Turkey.<br />
 <br />
Luka Bonačić, coach of Al Ahli, made a number of experiments in playing tactics to give most of his players a run on the pitch.<br />

The team will return to Doha soon and continue training, the club announced.<br />
 <br />
Al Ahli's influential striker and captain Meshal Abdullah is away on national duty and missed the game.<br />
 <br />
Another key player to miss the game was the club's Iranian import midfielder Mojtaba Jabbari who is also away on national duty.<br />
 <br />
The two will be back for Al Ahli before the start of the new QSL season on September 15 when they take on Al Gharafa.<br />

The first game of the season will be played on Al Ahli's home turf.<br />
