The Qatar Stars League Chief Executive Officer Mr. Hani Ballan expressed his happiness and gratitude to be present at the opening ceremony of the third edition of the Workers Cup.

He praised the ceremony which was very special. He also praised the efforts of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), the Qatar Stars League management and QSports, indicating that this opening ceremony is a chance to show the interest and responsibility towards the workers in the State of Qatar.

The Qatar Stars League CEO commented about Friday’s event at the Thani bin Jassim Stadium, the home of Al Gharafa Sports Club saying, “This distinguished opening ceremony is a clear message to the whole world about how we are keen to look after and support our workers. Also, the presence of teams and officials is proof of the tournament’s success. Four of the participating companies here tonight are also working in some of the 2022 FIFA  World Cup projects.”

Mr. Hani Ballan also thanked Al Gharafa Sports Club for hosting the third edition of the Workers Cup. He also pointed out that he aims at increasing the number of teams in the next edition of the competition.
