<span dir="LTR">DOHA: Qatar Stars League (QSL) minnows Muaither will take on Al Shamal in a friendly on home turf as they prepares for the second phase of the league from January 4.</span><br />

<span dir="LTR">The friendly will be played at Muaither Sports Club on Saturday, the last day of 2016, officials said on Thursday.</span><br />
<br />
<span dir="LTR">Muaither's friendly kicks-off at 4:00pm QST.</span><br />
<br />
<span dir="LTR">The QSL minnows are aiming to build on the 9 points accumulated in the first four months of the 2016-17 season.</span><br />
<br />
<span dir="LTR">In 13 matches so far, Muaither has posted 9 wins against 10 losses with zero draws.</span><br />
<br />
<span dir="LTR">The friendly will be the first official outing for new Japanese import Sato who signed with the QSL side last week in the transfer window.</span><br />
<br />
<span dir="LTR">Iraqi import Ahmed Yaseen is yet to arrive after signing his contract with Muaither, club officials said.</span><br />
<br />
<span dir="LTR">The match will also mark a return for Congolese striker Dioko Kaluyituka who has since recovered from a an injury.</span><br />
<br />
<span dir="LTR">Muaither take on Lekhwiya on January 4 at Thani Bin Jassim Stadium.</span><br />
