Gutsy Al Kharaitiyat snatch point off Al Khor<br />

 <br />
Al Kharaitiyat snatched a vital point in their quest to stave off relegation to the Qatar Gas League in their 1-1 draw with fellow strugglers Al Khor. Battling relegation fears, 12th-placed Al Kharaitiyat owed it to Yahia Kebe's 88th minute header at Al Khor Stadium, to keep the Thunders out of the QSL relegation zone with two games to go.<br />
 <br />
Kharitiyat pushed hard in the opening exchanges; however it was Khor took the lead through a powerful strike from Korean midfielder Park Hee-do on the 28th minute. Khor broke at Al Kharitiyat with Reza Shanbeh leading the charge. His well-timed pass was met with a superb first touch from Park who unleashed a powerful shot from outside the area, which nestled into the bottom left of the net, a fine strike worthy of opening the scoring in the tie.<br />
 <br />
Despite pushing hard to get back into the clash, Kharitiyat couldn’t grab a vital equalizer before half time whistle, with the score 1-0 to Khor at the break.<br />
 <br />
Al Kharitiyat looked edgy in the opening exchanges of the second half, Amir Osim’s side knew that they had to get a result from the tie to ease relegation fears. Eventually they found their feet, only to be stopped by a robust Khor back-line.<br />
 <br />
Kharitiyat left it late for the equalizer, in what was their best play of the match. In the 88th minute a lofted ball from Abdulla Al Battat found Yahia Kebe, the Burkina Faso stiker headed to partner Hassan Abdel-Fattah who promptly headed the ball back to him. The resulting diving header went past Khor stopper Papa Djibril, for Kebe’s 16th goal of the season, giving Kharitiyat a share of the spoils.<br />
<br />
 It may of not been the most glamorous goal for Kebe, but it could prove to be his most crucial should Al Kharitiyat beat the drop this season. <br />
