Al Ahli coach George Jorge spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 17 match against Qatar SC.

“We have a good chance to go up in the standings. We need to win this game and we will try to collect full points, so this fixture is crucial for us. I think we are in a good position now. It is vital that we play steadily in all games from now on.

“We are working a lot in training sessions. We will see how far we can go after this game. All games are different. We had a good first half against Al Arabi in the last game, which we won by a big margin. We made good use of the spaces and reaped the rewards despite playing without some key players. We could not do it against Al Duhail.

“We are improving after every week. Qatar SC are a vastly-improved side with the addition of some new players and under coach Abdullah Mubarak. They try to control the ball more now. We are trying to effectively counter their game. I only think about putting my team in a good situation,” said Jorge.
