<p>Al Ahli twice came from behind to play out a thrilling 2-2 draw with Qatar SC in Week 17 of the 2019-20 QNB Stars League at the Qatar SC Stadium on Friday.</p><p>Kayke Rodriguez (41st and 79th minutes) scored Qatar SC’s both goals, while Hernan Perez (65th) and Nabil El Zhar (85th-minute penalty) were Al Ahli’s scorers.</p><p>Al Ahli and Qatar SC now have 19 and 17 points respectively.</p><p>It was a much-improved performance by Qatar SC, who had lost to Al Ahli by a 0-2 margin in the first leg of 2019-20 QNB Stars League.</p><p>However, Qatar SC, under former Qatar international Wesam Rizik, have yet to win a game in the tournament’s second leg. The Kings drew goalless with Al Gharafa, Al Wakrah and Al Duhail, and lost the other matches 0-1 to Al Sailiya and 0-2 to Al Khor.</p><p>On the other hand, Al Ahli, coached by Nebojsa Jovovic, had enjoyed a three-match unbeaten run until they lost 0-1 to Al Rayyan in Week 16.</p><p>Coming into the game, The Brigadiers did well to bounce back efficiently and had 53 per cent possession.</p><p>Captain Nabil, Hernan and Abel Mathias led Al Ahli’s charge.</p><p>In contrast, Qatar SC rode mainly on the individual brilliance of Kayke. with support from Sardor Rashidov and Eisa Ahmed in the attack.</p><p>Kayke’s first goal was a neat finish after he latched on to a long through pass from deep in their own half. The Brazilian forward found his second with the help of a cross from Eisa.</p><p>Al Ahli first equalised through Hernan, with Abel setting the stage for his left-footer.</p><p>El Zhar then converted from the spot after the penalty was awarded when Eisa tripped the former.</p>
