<p>Qatar SC secured all three points following an impressive 1-0 win away to Al Ahli in Week 17 of the QNB Stars League on Friday.</p><p>The only goal of the game came from Syrian striker Osama Omari, signed in the January transfer window, in the 57th minute.</p><p>An evenly-matched first half saw a low number of chances. The best early opportunity came from Osama when his crossed free-kick evaded everybody and rebounded off the post.</p><p>Al Ahli were then handed a penalty late in the half, but Meshaal Abdullah’s strike and subsequent rebound were brilliantly saved by Jassim Al Hail.</p><p>Right at the close of the half, Qatar SC went on the counter-attack and spurned glorious chances. Luis Jimenez was first denied when he was in a one on one with Yazan Naim, who superbly saved the follow-up from Omar Al Emadi.</p><p>Into the second half and Qatar SC approached the game with a renewed vigour. Following wave after wave of attacks, they were finally rewarded. A goal scramble ensued in the penalty area with the ball kindly falling to Osama, who made no mistake from five yards out.</p><p>With the game drawing to a close, Al Ahli were on top, but thanks to heroics of Al Hail, Qatar SC held out for a magnificent victory.</p>
