Al Shahania coach Younes Ali spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 7 match against Al Sadd.

“The team’s preparations are progressing well, with a particular focus on the psychological aspect following the disappointing outcome of the last match. It is important to put up a strong response, overcoming the effects of the recent defeat and delivering a better performance in the upcoming game. 

“The team aims to move past the previous result and showcase a level of play that reflects both the players’ capabilities and the club’s ambitions,” said Younes.

Al Shahania player Ali Qaderi said, “Both teams are currently facing challenging circumstances. We suffered a defeat in the last round despite strong performances in the two preceding matches, while Al Sadd had also their last two games.

“There is necessity for a robust response to the recent loss, especially when facing formidable opponents like Al Sadd. The team is eager to secure a positive result that will boost our confidence and support our campaign in the league.”
