Al Rayyan coach Vicente Moreno spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 4 match against Al Ahli.

“The most important thing is to win the upcoming match against Al Ahli. We know it will be a very difficult game because Al Ahli are a very good team. They have an outstanding Spanish coach whom I know well as well as excellent players.

“Before the break in the schedule, we have this match against Al Ahli, followed by games in AFC Champions League Two. It is crucial for us to win these matches before the break, heading into the break on the back of recent victories is great for us and the fans. Everyone is happy which is why we want to win these upcoming games,” said Moreno.

Al Rayyan player Andre Amaro said, “Winning the upcoming match against Al Ahli is, of course, extremely important. We want to win every game, though we know that is not always possible. That is part of football. However, we must maintain a winning mentality and I am confident we will secure the three points and get back to winning ways.”
