Umm Salal beat Mesaimeer 2-1 in Week 2 of 2026-2027 season Jetour League at the Khalifa International Stadium on Sunday.

It was Umm Salal’s first win in the league and Mesaimeer’s first loss.

Aimen Maurer put Umm Salal ahead in the very fourth minute, driving home a smooth Waleed Elbahnasawi assist from inside the box, past a hapless goalkeeper.

The lead was doubled by Atowoula Odilon Kouassi in the 22nd minute, with Maurer this time providing a cross which beat the defenders and goalkeeper alike.

Mesaimeer managed to get one across in the 29th minute, with Ilyes Hamid Brimil striking into the far corner from outside the box.

Both sides battled hard in the second half, but the scoreline remained unchanged.
