Al Sadd will play host to Shabab Al Ahli of the UAE in an eagerly-awaited match for the Qatar-UAE Super Cup, in the third edition of the tournament, to be played at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium on Saturday, January 24, 2026. The kick-off is at 7pm.

Al Sadd will be looking to add another trophy to their already impressive collection of domestic, Arab, continental and international titles.

Al Sadd, under Italian coach Roberto Mancini, are enjoying a remarkable season domestically. The Wolves are currently in second place in Doha Bank Stars League standings, five points behind leaders Al Gharafa, after achieving six consecutive league victories. They rely on key players, most notably their star player Akram Afif, alongside the Brazilian trio of Claudinho, Giovanni Henrique and Roberto Firmino.

On the other hand, Shabab Al Ahli, the reigning UAE Pro League champions, currently lead the UAE league standings with 32 points. Portuguese coach Paulo Sousa will be counting on the experience of his players to secure a victory in the match and claim the Super Shield title.

It may be noted that Al Sadd and Shabab Al Ahli had met in Round 6 of 2025-2026 AFC Champions League Elite in Doha and the former won 4-2.
