<span dir="LTR">DOHA: Syrian attacking winger Mahmoud Al-Mawas has joined Qatar Stars League (QSL) side Umm Salal, it was confirmed on Monday.</span><br />
 <br />
<span dir="LTR">The highly-rated 23-year-old has good speed and 'excellent ball skills', according to team officials.</span><br />
 <br />
<span dir="LTR">Al-Mawas is expected to join the squad in a few days once he completes his medical on Tuesday, a club official said on Monday.</span><br />
 <br />
<span dir="LTR">The winger has played for clubs in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.</span><br />
 <br />
<span dir="LTR">Meanwhile, Umm Salal striker Ismail Mahmoud has been released from a local hospital following rehab scans on his injured knee ligaments.</span><br />
 <br />
<span dir="LTR">Mahmoud suffered the injury during one of Umm Salal's games in QSL. He is expected to resume training in the coming days.</span><br />
 <br />
<span dir="LTR">Mahmoud is expected to play against Al Khor on January 3 in what would be a round 14 clash.</span><br />
