Al Shamal took another battering today losing 5-1 to an unforgiving Al Arabi side in the Qatar Stars League.

The loss saw the Musketeers concede 10 goals in just two matches as yet again their defense was porous and unorganized.
Yet to win a single game this season it seems as though the Qatar Stars League is just one step too far for the team from the North.

In the first half Paulinho opened the scoring just 8 minutes in for the Dream Team, followed by an opportunistic Ahmed Saleh (36’), giving his side an important two goal cushion going into the break.

In the second half things went from bad to worse for Al Shamal as they continued to hemorrhage goals.

First through Quinela (63’) and then just seven minutes later former Fulham star Dejagah had made it 4-0. By this point many inside the stadium were looking to the clock as they knew that there was still the threat of more goals and they were right when Khoukhi added a fifth to create a truly dominating performance of their opponents.

Then Moumouni Degano finally registered a goal for Shamal (90’) but it was no consolation as the home side suffered yet another thrashing and confidence shattering game.
The result see Arabi level on points with Sailiya but with a better goal difference whilst Shamal remain rooted to the foot of the table.
