Al Sadd took on the already relegated Al Shamal tonight at the Jassim bin Hamad stadium in the final round of the Qatar Stars League.<br />

The Wolves have yet again come up just short as they had to watch as Lekhwiya took the league title in the previous round, however they managed to finish on a win and have already qualified for the Qatar Cup as well as next season’s Asian Champions League.<br />

The goals came from midfielder Ali Asad (13’) and talented youngster Aladeen Younis (78’) in a pretty one sided affair. The home side – Al Sadd never really looked threatened as the dominated the game from start to finish and ended their season with 57 points from 26 games.<br />

The first goal for Sadd was scored with a neat first time hit by Ali Asad (outside of the box) who was first to the rebound after winger Senhadji was denied by the keeper from close range.<br />
<br />
The second goal too was scored by another youngster, this time Ali Asad turned provider as he jinked his way through Shamal defence before releasing a magnificent through-ball for Aladeen Younis who smashed is effort into the back of the net.<br />
<br />
The result sees Sadd end the season on a positive note, finishing in 2<sup>nd</sup> with 57 points, the Wolves won 17 matches, drew 6 times and lost just 3 times.
