Al Rayyan secured their spot in the quarterfinal of the GCC Club Championship despite their tie against Al-Taawon (KSA) in the match played yesterday evening in Abdullah Bin Khalifah Stadium within the Group A.<br />

Al-Taawon took the lead by two goals which were scored by Ismail Maghraby at the 27^th and 42^nd minutes respectively, while the Brazilian Tabata and Moussa Haroon scored for Al-Rayyan in the 64^th and 84^th minute of the game.<br />

The match was tough and exciting as Al-Rayyan secured their qualification for the next round.  The team didn’t give up despite trailing 2-0 in the first half.<br />

With this result Al-Rayyan reached 5 points and is in second place. They have now officially qualified to the quarterfinal stages together with Al-Taawon. <br />

There is now only one match left for Al Rayyan at this stage against Suwaiq (Oman) on the 8th of April 2015.
