<p>Algerian ace Baghdad Bounedjah contributed two goals after coming on as a substitute as Al Sadd fought back from a goal down to beat the UAE’s Al Wasl 2-1 in their first-round AFC Champions League Group C match in Dubai on Monday.</p><p>The hosts went ahead through Fabio de Lima in the 26th minute after he took advantage of a mistake by defender Abdelkarim Hassan, cut inside from the right and sent in a curling shot past goalkeeper Saad Al Dossari.</p><p>In the second half, Al Sadd’s Portuguese coach Jesualdo Ferreira sent on Bounedjah to strengthen the attack and the move paid off.</p><p>After coming close with an overhead kick, he scored for Al Sadd in the 79th off a pass from Xavi Hernandez with a shot on the turn.</p><p>Bounedjah was at it again in the last minute off a cross by substitute Akram Afif when the Al Wasl defence failed for a second time.</p>
