QSL champions Al Rayyan have announced the signing for former Qatar SC defender Khaled Al Zakiba on an undisclosed contract.The official Al Rayyan website confirmed the deal, noting that the side is looking to add further local players to strengthen their squad ahead of their AFC Champions League campaign.
In other news, a host of Al Rayyan players undertook medical tests at ASPETAR hospital ahead of the third round of QSL action. These included the international trio of Gonzalo Viera, Sergio Garcia and South Korean midfielder Koh Myong-jin.
Al Rayyan are so far unbeaten in the QSL this season registering a 3-0 victory over Al Shahaniya on the opening day, whilst in round two they managed a gritty 0-0 draw with Umm Salal. Al Rayyan are set to take on Al Sailiya when the QSL resumes on Saturday the 15th of October.
