QSL side Al Wakrah has formally announced that Tunisian coach Kais Yâakoubi as their new coach replacing Uruguayan manager Mauricio Larriera. The club took to social media last night to confirm the move, with Yâakoubi signing his contract till the remainder of the season in front of club officials.
Yâakoubi has enjoyed a host of managerial roles in his native Tunisia and was most recently managed Club Africain. The 50 year old coach will now be charged with reviving the fortunes of The Blue Waves, who are currently in last place in the QSL standings.
Al Wakrah have yet to win in the QSL this season, and will be hoping that Yâakoubi can have a positive impact on the side ahead of their home game against title chasing Al Sadd at Al Wakrah stadium.
