QSL side Al Wakrah have confirmed that Tunisian coach Kais Yâakoubi has arrived in Doha ahead of negotiations to replace head coach Mauricio Larriera.
Yâakoubi, who has managed a host of sides in his native Tunisia arrived in Doha late last night and was formally greeted by Al Wakrah management. It is believed the majority of the details for the contract have been settled, with Yâakoubi left to sign his deal with The Blue Waves.
Attention will then turn to Al Wakrah’s Sunday afternoon match up against Al Sadd, which will likely to be Yâakoubi’s first match in charge of his new side. Al Wakrah are currently bottom of the QSL standings and have yet to register a win this term.
