Al Sadd's marquee signing Xavi Hernandez joined his new team mates in his first training session yesterday, at the clubs Austrian training camp.

The former FC Barcelona midfielder joined the squad in training drills as Al Sadd continue to prepare for the kick off to the Qatar Stars League Season on the 11th of September. The Wolves will be looking to the experience of the Spanish midfielder, who are looking to compete on all fronts in the coming season. 

Fans at the clubs training camp based in Kaprun had the chance to see the legendary midfielder train up close for the first time for Al Sadd. At the end of the session, Xavi took some time to take photo's with the fans and sign some autographs.

Al Sadd will continue training in Austria till the 9th of August. During that time they will face three friendlies againt Saudi team Al Nasr,Emirati team Al Ain and another tie against an unnamed side.
