Match 25: GCC 0 vs AlAsmakh 0 (4-2 Penalties)
All eyes on this match as the two giants of the workers cup went head to head. GCC came in to this game with their 100% record and no goals conceded, while AlAsmakh came second in their group behind the competition favorites Team Outlook.

The game started off with both sides being cautious and defensive yet very physical. Al Asmakh started the game on the offensive howver the game was a tight affair, with many tactical fouls from sides as the first half ended scoreless.

Second half started with more intensity as neither side could go through with that precious goal. Not only was this the most physical game in the tournament to date, but it also had a record of six yellow cards plus the first red coming to Al Asmakh’s number 4 Abu Musa. His second yellow card came in minute 35 into the 2nd half of the match with a dangerous tackle on GCC’s number 13 Otieno.

From that minute onwards GCC tried to take advantage of playing against ten men, three golden chances to score were squandered by GCC.
GCC came out victorious with a 4-2 penalty win. More than 500 spectators celebrated the win of their team to reach to the top four of the tournament for a second year in a row. GCC will now face Midmac in the semifinals.

Match 26:  Midmac 1 vs Amana 0
Midmac coming into this match as slight favorites with their group showing while Amana had to believe that they have a big chance of qualifying to the semifinals. Last year’s bronze medalists qualified second place in Group D behind Mowasalat, while Midmac topped their group with ease.

Another physical match, with both teams trying to break each other’s defense on the counter attack. Both sides played a tactical match in the first half.

The second half was a lot more entertaining with both teams trying to sneak that goal. The game now looking more likely to end with another penalty shoot out, but Midmac’s number 8 Tengey had other ideas.

With six minutes to go on the clock, Tengey exchanged neat passing passes with number 10 Baah outside Amana`s area, Tengey then calmly scored one on with the goalkeeper to give Midmac a deserved lead. Midmac will now face GCC in the semifinals in a highly anticipated match.
 
Match 27:  Outlook 1 vs ETA stars 0
The Workers Cup tiki-taka team Outlook came into this match as clear favorites to reach the semis, ETA were no push overs as they put up a heroic showing in this match.

The first half started with neat and fast passes from Outlook gradually pushing dominating possession. It took Outlook only three minutes to open the scoring in the match through their number 10 Suraj Cencuri, he received a beautiful cross in the box to give Outlook the lead. One would think that this would be a one-sided affair, buyt that wasn`t the case.

The second half started with more attacks by ETA, but Outlook held firm with a well drilled defense, utilizing the offside trap on many occasions. Outlook had their fair amount of chances to double their score, but with no luck. The match ended 1-0 to Outlook who will play Mowasalat in the semifinals.
 
Match 28: Mowasalat 8 vs Delta Doha Corporation 0
Mowasalt eased into the semi-finals of the Workers Cup with another impressive showing.
It took Mowasalat just 17 minutes to open the scoring and from there on the goals kept coming.

There were six different names on the score sheet with Yakubu Al Hassan scoring two and assisting another two which awarded him the man of the match. Mowasalat now will face Outlook in the semifinals.
