Match 37: Nakheel Landscapes 0 vs Mowasalat  5
 
Mowasalat proceed to the quarter finals of the Workers Cup with a comprehensive 5-0 win over Nakheel Landscapes.  Attacker Mensan was the star of the show for Mowasalat and grabbed a hat-trick for his side.
 
The first half proved to be a one sided affair, Mowasalat looked in control from the opening stages; their dominance eventually tolled and in the 22nd minute took a deserved lead. Mowasalat pushed hard to double their advantage but were met from resistance from Nakheel, the first half ended 1-0 to Mowasalat.  
 
From the onset of the second half, Mowasalat was relentless, pushing the ball into the Nakheel defensive half and pushing hard for a second. On the 80th minute Mowaslat doubled their lead from a fine header from Alexander. The flood gates opened for Mowasalat with three goals in the final twenty minutes, ensuring comfortable passage to the Quarter Finals.
 
 
Match 38: Outlook Trading & Contracting 1 vs Dulsco 2
 
Tournament favorites Outlook trading where dumped out of the Workers Cup , losing 2-1 to Dulsco in an action packed thriller.
 
The game started at a frenetic pace with Dulsco opening the scoring on the 3rd minute of the tie. The lead was short-lived as Outlook were quick to equalize within 2 minutes, the first half ended 0-0.
 
Substitute Charles weaved his way past the Outlook back-line beating three players before slamming the ball into the back of the net. With just minutes to play Outlook piled on the pressure, however Dulsco remained resolute and the match finished 2-1 to Dulsco.
 
 


Match 39: Delta Doha Corporation 1 vs Al Asmakh 0
 
Delta Doha has once again maintained its perfect winning record in the Workers Cup, with a 1-0 win over a determined Al Asmakh side.
 
The match started with Al Asmakh making an impressive start. They pushed hard for an opening goal; however Delta looked resolute at the back. Delta were looking to take Al Asmakh on the break, and eventually that tactic paid off on the 43rd minute.  Delta striker Sudesh’s powerful run and finish gave his side the lead going into the break.
 
Despite being pushed back for the majority of the second half, Delta prevailed 1-0 and will progress to the Workers Cup Quarter-finals for the first time in their history. Delta will now take-on Mowasalat in the quarterfinals next week.
 
Game 40: Larson & Toubro (L&T) 6 vs Consolidated Contractors International Co. (CCC) 0
 
L&T eased through to the Quarter Finals with a comprehensive 6-0 win over CCC. The first half saw CCC with the majority of the ball, dictating the play. However it was L&T who sneaked a goal in the final minutes of the half against the run of play, at the break it was 1-0 to L&T.
 
L&T came out in the second half with renewed vigour, and took the game to CCC. They doubled their lead half way through the second half with a fine strike. With 80 minutes on the clock, CCC capitulated allowing L&T to score three times to assure a quarter-final place.
 
The undefeated L&T will look forward to next week’s quarterfinal clash against MedGulf.
 
Match 41: Midmac 1 vs Aamal 0
 
Midmac progressed to the Quarter Finals of the Workers Cup with a hard fought 1-0 win over Aamal. Midmac flew out of the blocks creating plenty of chances in the opening exchanges. Eventually Aamal weathered the storm, with the game being an even affair in the final 15 minutes of the half, the tie was 0-0 at the break.
 
In the second half, Midmac slowly grew in confidence and struck the only goal of the tie on the 83rd minute. Striker Gideon controlled the ball well and drilled it into the back of the net. In the final minutes Aamal pushed hard for a equalizer, and could have had one in stoppage time. However Midmac held on for the win, Midmac will now face Taleb group in the Quarter Finals next week.
 

 
Match 42: Gulf Contracting Co. (GCC) 2 vs G4S 0
 
Two goals in either half ensured that GCC eased past G4S to the Quarter Finals of the Workers Cup. GCC looked lively in the opening exchanges with striker Jasper leading the line well for his side. G4S looked nervy and this was underlined with two players picking up yellow cards in the space of two minutes of the first half.
 
GCC took the lead in spectacular circumstances thanks to Jasper. After being sythed down in the G4S half striker Jasper dusted himself down to smash in a freekick from 35 yards for his side. The first half ended 1-0 to a dominant GCC side.
 
In the second half it was more of the same for GCC and within two minutes of the restart they doubled their lead thanks to Morris Wendo. The striker had plenty of time to slot past the hapless G4S keeper. G4S lost their composure in the second half and finished the tie with nine men on the pitch. Both Mohammed Eisa & Shvib picked up second yellow cards and where given their marching orders by referee Omer Wayne.
 
GCC, qualify for the quarterfinals and will be looking to maintain their focus and performance next week.

Game 43: Taleb Group 3 vs Shapoorji Pallonji Qatar 1
 
Taleb Group defeated Shapoorji 3-1 in a thrilling Workers Cup encounter. Taleb took the lead on the 18th minute thanks to a fine strike from star striker Abdul Rahim. Taleb continued to pressure Shapoorji for a second but with minutes left in the first half Shapoorji striker John Yaw scored to ensure the game was 1-1 at the break.
 
Taleb had the upper hand in the second half, controlling the ball and limiting Shapoorji to a handful of chances. It was only on the 82nd minute that Taleb took a deserved lead through striker Jerry. Shapoorji looked bereft of effort in the final moments of the game, and Taleb assured qualification in stoppage time with a glancing header from Abdul-Aziz giving his side a 3-1 win.  Unbeaten Taleb will now take on Midmac in the Quarter Finals of the Workers Cup.
 

 
Match 44: Carillion 0 vs MedGulf Construction 8
 
MedGulf eased to the Quarter finals with an impressive 8-0 win over Carillion. MedGulf striker Idrissu was star of the show for his side scoring 4 goals in the game.  Despite the impressive scoreline MedGulf only took a two goal lead into the second half.
 
The floodgates opened in the second half as MedGulf struck six times, including four goals from the impressive Idrissu. Medgulf will now move on to the Quarter Finals where they will take on the Undefeated Larsen & Toubro.
