In an official statement on the club website the Wolves confirmed that the FC Barcelona star has been in Doha over the weekend to discuss terms with the club, and that Sadd would be making further official announcements depending on developments.
The statement also noted that the two time Champions League winner was with his family to find out more about the state of Qatar should Hernandez decide to sign for Sadd.
Al Sadd are no strangers to signing Spanish players, having notably signed former Spanish and Real Madrid striker Raul, who spent two seasons with the Doha based side from 2012- 2014. During his time with Sadd he won the Qatar Stars League title.
