QSL Champions Lekhwiya left it late to conclude their business on transfer deadline day.
Late last night Djamel Belmadi’s side announced that they have signed last year’s top scorer Alain Dioko from rivals Al Gharafa.

The Congolese international has signed a long term deal with the Red Knights. Lekhwiya also announced that Vladimir Weiss will be trading places with Dioko. Weiss has signed a four and a half year deal with the Cheetahas and will be available for his new sides clash with Al Arabi in round 17 of the Qatar Stars League.

Lekhwiya also announced the extension of defender Dame Traoré’s loan move to Al Arabi for the remainder of the season. Lekhwiya will begin preparations with Dioko for their round 17 clash against Al Sailiya.
