Lekhwiya Football Club will resume their training sessions from the 5^th of July. Currently the players are having a long rest and well deserved rest following the end of the 2014/15 season. The Red Knights won the league as well as their first ever Qatar Cup this season.

In the Asian Champions League Lekhwiya dispatched Al Sadd with relative ease despite being a man don in the return leg. The Red Knights have therefore progressed to the quarterfinals of the competition.

With regards to their preseason schedule, club official and team manager Waleed Bakhit said, “There is more than one option being considered for where the boys will train during the summer. The technical staff and officials have yet to settle this matter but we will give an official announcement soon.”
