Umm Salal assistant coach Bayram Bektas:
“We are ready and we are very motivated. After the last defeat it's not easy to recover the confidence but we are trying to get the team ready. We have good players who have good mentality and they can forget the last defeat and prepare for the next match. I hope that the game will be a good game for supporters because both teams have good players and if they come to the stadium they will be entertained.”
 
“Of course Kharaitiyat have good players but they will miss some of them. For us, Ahmed Fathi will miss the game due to an injury and Waleed has a red card. But we have other players who can step up and take the team to victory. We want to win this game in order to stay close to the top-4 spot.”
 
“In the last game we played with 10 players against Sadd which is not easy. And when you try and score you are left exposed at the back. The result is not a proper reflection of the quality with which we played in that game. Sadd had very good players in the midfield and so it wasn't easy to get possession. We were affected by the early red card and penalty. So there were a lot of reasons for that defeat.”
 
Umm Salal player Mahmood Ismael:
“This game is very important for us. As players we need to forget the last defeat. We are thankful to the staff and the administration who have been trying to do their best to help us recover our confidence against Kharaitiyat. These are a very important three points for us and we hope we can get them. Kharaitiyat are a good team and have two wins after the break and we have to be a 100 per cent ready if we want to beat them.”
 
 

Kharaitiyat head coach Amar Osim:
“Every game we play, the opponents are getting better and better. We played against Shahania and then we played against Wakrah. Wakrah are better than Shahania and now we play against an even better team in Umm Salal. So we have also to improve with every game. Salal will try and come back strongly after their loss against Sadd. But it wasn't a normal game. They got an early red card and the penalty. It is difficult to play with 10 men against a team like Sadd. So I know they will be eager to put on a strong performance against us and that might not be good for us. But if we play intelligently, then we can take advantage of that.”
 
“It is easier for the coach to work with players when you have good results. There players have the confidence and it shows on the pitch. We have been lucky enough to win two games. For the moment we have good results, good confidence and a good atmosphere in the dressing room and we will try to keep it that way.”
