Umm Salal Sports Club officially signed the Ivorian Yannick Sagbo; he arrives in Qatar after a two year spell with the English team, Hull City. Sagbo has signed for two seasons, and replaces Tuncay who only joined the club last season.
 
Umm Salal Sports Club’s Head of Football- Sheikh Tamim Bin Mohammed Al Thani said, "The Ivorian player will be a big asset to the team, I wish him all the best. We also have our eyes on a number of other players.”
 
Sheikh Tamim pointed out that a number of Turkish, Moroccan and French clubs were negotiating with the player, but Sagbo decided to join Umm Salal.
 
Sagbo is 27 years old and plays as a striker. The player will join the team on their preseason training camp in the Netherlands next month.
