QSL side Umm Salal has confirmed a friendly match up with Saudi Arabian side Al Fateh as the Orange Fortress look to maintain their fitness as the QSL takes a break for international football.

The club revealed that the game is set to take place Friday the 24th of March, and serve as vital preparation ahead of their round 24 tie against Al Gharafa. Head coach Mahmoud Jaber has also given his squad a week off to rest, and will have his side back in training ahead of the Fateh friendly.

In other team news, Umm Salal confirmed that a host of players are continuing their rehabilitation from injury. The likes of Baba Malick, Omar Yahya, Mohammed Jeddo and Yannick Sagbo have been sidelined though injury in recent weeks and Jaber will be hoping that he can get a number of these players back in time for the Al Gharafa game.

Umm Salal are currently in sixth place in the QSL standings and have 30 points from 23 games.
