<div>Umm Salal have a strong record against El Jaish after claiming four victories against them since 2011.<br />

In Round 12 of the 2015/16 QSL season, on Wednesday 9 December, the Orange Fortress will face the Soldiers for the ninth time. In their record to-date, Umm Salal have claimed four wins and two draws from their eight matches.<br />

The teams first met after El Jaish won promotion to the QSL in 2011, with the match ending in a 0-0 draw. In the return meeting, Umm Salal claimed their first victory over El Jaish after Brazilian striker Cabore scored the only goal in a 1-0 win.<br />

In the 2012/13 campaign, Umm Salal beat El Jaish 2-0 after goals from Othman El Assas and Maher Youssef. However, El Jaish claimed their first victory in the return match. The Soldiers won 1-0 after a goal from Adriano.<br />

In 2013/14 there was another goalless draw, followed by a 2-1 win for Umm Salal after strikes from Cabore and Ismail Mahmoud. Mohammed Muntari scored for El Jaish.<br />

Both teams grabbed a victory in the 2014/15 season. Jeremie Aliadiere and Mohamed Geddo, who has since joined El Jaish, scored for Umm Salal as they recorded a 2-1 win.<br />

In the return match, El Jaish claimed their second victory over Umm Salal with a 3-1 success. Romarinho grabbed a hat-trick for the Soldiers, while Abdel Qader Elias scored for Umm Salal.</div>
