QSL side Umm Salal has amended the dates of their training camp ahead of the new 2016/2017 QSL season. The Orange Fortress is set to head to the Netherlands for their preseason training camp. Club official Ali Amin confirmed to QSL online that the club will head to the same training camp where the squad prepared for the 2015/2016 season.

 Amin also confirmed that the club has changed the dates meaning that Umm Salal will leave from the 6^th to 26 of August.  The change has been made following the confirmation that the QSL season will now start on the 16th of September.

 Head coach Bülent Uygun will now begin preparations in earnest for his side, arranging key friendly matches and finalizing the training regime of his squad with his backroom staff. Umm Salal finished in fifth place in the QSL standings, just missing out on a Qatar Cup place with a tally of forty one points.
