Al Kharaitiyat team manager Turky Aman has confirmed  that striker Issair Dia will return to Al Kharaitiyat replacing midfielder Anwar Diba. Dia is no stranger to Al Kharaitiyat, having played for them on loan during the 2014/2015 season.

In an exclusive interview with the QSL website, the former defender said: “We are waiting on the relevant transfer documents from his previous club to sign Dia. We will be looking for an instant impact from him when the league returns.” Aman also praised the other professional players, namely the fierce striker Yahya Kebe, Hassan Abdel Fattah and the tough defender Domingos.

Aman also made clear that Issiar Dia will be the only professional player to join the team during the winter transfer window and none of the remaining professionals will be replaced, adding that the team is in need for three more local players.

Commenting on the recent results, he said: “We were not satisfied with the results at the beginning of the season, nevertheless the performance has changed as well as the results, and we are satisfied with the current performances of the team.”

Speaking about whether he is worried about the team during the coming period, he said: “I have huge confidence in the players and I am aware of their potential. The results will improve in the second part of the season, I am sure of this.

Turky praised the work of Bosnian head coach Ammar Osim, stressing the break as important for the side: “We consider the current break as a huge opportunity to work with the team on all aspects and enhance the positive sides.”

Al Kharitiyat are currently in 11th position in the QSL table. They will face current QSL champions Lekhwiya once the QSL resumes on the 28th of January, following the three week break for the AFC U23 championships being held in Qatar.
