DOHA: Ahmad Al-Ajlani has signed a one-year deal with Qatar Stars League (QSL) outfit Al Kharaitiyat, the club confirmed on Thursday.
The new deal was signed on Wednesday in the presence of club officials Musa Mansoor and Nasser Al Saadi, the head of football at Al Kharaitiyat.
Al-Ajlani replaces Amar Osim after the side went down to Umm Salal in a round six clash of the QSL. Al Kharaitiyat lost the round six clash 2-0.
Al-Ajlani, 56, has managed a number of football clubs namely Khaleej, Al-Orobah, Al-Shoulla and Al Hilal. He also coached Al-Shabab, Emirates Club and Al-Shoalah before finalizing his deal with Al Kharaitiyat.
The club said Al-Ajlani will start with the side 'as soon as possible'
as the QSL side begins preparations for their round seven match.
Al Kharaitiyat face Al Sailiyah in their next QSL clash on November 18 at Hamad Bin Khalifa Stadium, the home turf of Al Ahli.
Al Sailiyah are also coached by Tunisian - Sami Trabelsi.
Al Kharitiyat have just four points from six matches.
