The club management on Monday applauded the tactics employed by coach Sami Trabelsi at Al Sailiya.
Al Sailiyah has reeled off four successive wins in Qatar Stars League (QSL), a sequence that has helped Trabelsi's side reach seventh spot on the points table.
Abdullah Darwish, Head of Football at Al Sailiya, who saw his team beat Qatar SC, Al Sadd, Al Khor, and Al Arabi in the last four rounds, said Trabelsi deserved credit for setting up the wins.
“The game tactics employed by Sami Tarabulsi contributed to such a change in our collective performance as well as the results," Drawish said in an interview on Monday.
"The support of the board of members headed by club President Abdullah Al Aidah also played a significant role in Al Sailiya starting to win matches," Darwish said.
"There is a great team spirit among the boys and the backroom staff is also fully committed," he said. "All segments of the side are putting their efforts and the results are showing," Darwish said.
Darwish pointed out the individual errors within the team have disappeared and the team now has strong determination to win big games.
“The team enters all their matches to win and gain the three points from each game," Darwish said.
Darwish said Al Sailiya have defeated big teams like Al Sadd and Al Arabi and that he is optimistic about the coming games.
“I know that everyone in my team is eager to defeat Al Rayyan in the next game. We will play to to win,” he said.
Darwish praised the performance of the players, in particular Abdel Qader Elias, on loan from El Jaish.
“I truly hope that Abdel Qader Elias could continue with our team. The player’s desire is to stay with us simply because he plays regularly.
The truth is he is a distinguished player and has added to the team,”
Drawish said.
Regarding Abdel Rahman Al Harazi and his possible move to Al Rayyan, he said: “There's nothing on the surface so far and Al Harazi is with us, like our president said.”
Commenting whether the winter transfer window will witness new signings, especially in view of what have been raised regarding the striker Edinho, Darwish said: “During recent weeks, focus is given to the matches and during the coming winter break, only the team head coach Sami Tarabusli will decide if we need to bring in new players.”
