The man of the match award went to Lekhwiya’s Yousef Msakni who played a major part in securing a point from the home side with his last minute equalizer in the 91st minute. The Tunisian playmaker has found it hard to maintain his place in the starting eleven but has once again showed what he can bring to the Red Knights. Msakni also scored in the first half (25’).

El Jaish 5-1 Al Shamal
Romarinho has been a sensation since his summer move from South America; the Brazilian won the man of the match award in his side’s 5-1 demolition of Al Shamal. The Jaish forward scored two goals, one in the 14th minute and then in the 47th minute. He also played a part in some of the other goals and it is the 7th time he has been recognized with the man of the match award this season.
Al Kharaitiyat 1-1 Al Khor
Al Kharaitiyat’s clash with Al Khor didn’t set the world on fire however one of the goals of the round was scored in this match. Madson, who received the man of the match award, was integral to the goal. Madison broke down the right wing and cut into the box as he delivered a loss cross for Cesar who ran to the near post, and fooled his marker who thought that a shot was imminent. Instead the Cesar let the ball run across him and then nonchalantly back heeled the ball into the goal.
This is the 4th time this season that the diminutive forward has gotten the award.
Al Sadd 5-1 Al Gharafa
Hassan Al Haydous received the man of the match award for his all-round performance in their one-sided encounter with Gharafa. The winger played a part in three of the goals and his high level of passing accuracy (81%) and work rate made him the stand out man of the game. He also made 7 final third entry passes and 8 penalty entries too.
It was the fifth time that the Qatari international picked up the man of the match award this season.
Al Ahli 0-2 Al Arabi
The local derby between Ahli and Arabi was well attended last weekend and saw the visitors Al Arabi come away with all 3 points. Paulinho was rightly rewarded with the man of the match award for his constant positivity, leadership and hard work up front. The Brazilian also bagged a goal late on to put a nice shine to the score line (76’).
The last round saw Paulinho pick up his third man of the match award for the Dream Team.
Qatar SC 2-1 Al Wakrah
Right back Shaheen Ali Mahmoud was very impressive for the kings last weekend, he had 2 assists, 47 possessions, 15 penalty area entries, and three 3 crosses! He also intercepted the ball 14 times and made 2 important tackles.
It was Shaheen’s third such award.
Al Sailiya 3-2 Umm Salal
Abdurrahman Al Harazi was on fire in this clash, the nifty playmaker set up and scored to help his side take all three points from a tough Umm Salal side. Harazi is a class act who Sailiya would do well to keep in their squad next year.
It was the second time the young Qatari has won the award this season.
