QSL champions Al Rayyan have been handed a major injury blow ahead of their fifth round clash against Al Kharaitiyat.
Head coach Michael Laudrup confirmed that influential striker Sebastian Soria will be out for up to a month with a hamstring injury. The Qatar international striker suffered the injury against Al Sailiya in round three and sat out the Lions 1-1 draw with El Jaish.
The injury means that Soria is a doubt for Qatar’s World Cup Qualifiers in November; Soria will now undergo rehab on the injury, and could be contention for selection for Al Rayyan’s match against Lekhwiya on the 20th of November.
