Umm Salal Sports Club head of football Sheikh Tamim Bin Mohamed Al Thani praised the victory of his side Umm Salal in their 2-1 victory over Al Sailiya in Round 6 of the Qatar Stars League. He also expressed his satisfaction with the performance of the players who came back from a goal down to win the game. 

Sheikh Tamim Bin Mohamed Al Thani said to QSL website: “The confrontation wasn’t easy at all as we finished the first half behind with one goal. Gaining the three points is a very good thing for our team, moving us to fifth place in the league. We are looking forward to enter the top four teams. We have a tough game in Round 7 versus Al Gharafa next Saturday.”

He also pointed out to the difficulty of the upcoming tie, indicating that Gharafa is a strong team. "We can't underestimate them despite their recent two defeats to El Jaish and  Wakrah." .

Sheikh Tamim Bin Mohamed Al Thani added: “Umm Salal is capable of becoming one of the top four teams in Qatar Stars League this season. Our team has lots of distinguished players, hoping to keep away from injuries during the coming period in order to move forward and consilidated our position.”

He also expressed his satisfaction with the of the performance demonstrated by foreign players. He indicated that these players have started well but the owner of Umm Salal is expecting more from then during the season.

Sheikh Tamim Bin Mohamed Al Thani assured that he is satisfied with the results accomplished by the team so far and said: “We have played six games so far, out of which we won three and tied in two and lost in one occasion against Al Rayyan.”
