Al Rayyan Sports Club President Sheikh Saoud Bin Khaled Al Thani said in a statement to the club’s official website that there is no crisis at Al Rayyan.

“There are no issues with the club and the state of the club financially is very good. There are the usual commitments and obligations for payments but generally things are good. As for football, we have doubled the allocated budget.”

He added, “The talk about late payments is true. We have been late regarding some payments but the players understand the reasons and everything is in hand. We are finalizing all the late compensation payments and so things will be resolved very soon. This happens to all clubs around the world due to various reasons.”

Sheikh Saoud bin Khaled Al Thani reassured the fans that there is not anything to worry about, and he added: "Everyone at the club is optimistic about providing a great season for our fans, we believe we will be among the top four come the end of the season. Hopefully we will also have some silverware for the fans."

He added: “We have been working hard since the beginning of the transfer window to bring some great local and foreign talent to our squad.”

Commenting Paraguayan prospect Victor Cáceres, he said: “The player passed his medical and signed a contract with us. We have made the payment to Brazilian Club Flamingo and soon the player will join the team.”
