Al Shahaniya Sports Club chairman, Menahi Al Shammari in coordination with the coaching staff, led by the Spanish coach Miguel Lotina have established a training camp in Germany as they prepare for the 2016/2017 football season. Shahaniya return to the Qatar Stars League for the second time in their history.
 
The camp will be focused on technical and physical training, along with a number of friendly matches as announced by Menahi Al Shammari, chairman of Al Shahaniya Sports Club.
 
The coaching staff in coordination with the club's management will determine the exact dates of the training camp in the coming days. Their also might be a possibility that the club will strengthen their side by acquiring some new players over the summer.
 
Shahaniya qualified for the Qatar Stars League in 2014/2015 season for the first time in their history. After their relegation, they secured a return to the QSL after gaining promotion during the 2015/2016 season of the Qatargas League.
