Al Rayyan Sports Club officially signed Spanish goal scorer Sergio Garcia, the former Espanyol Captain is the first major deal as the club looks to bolster its attacking line ahead of the new QSL season.

Al Rayyan has been promoted back to the Qatar Stars League; they suffered the indignation of being relegated to the second division back in the 2014/15 season. The Club has also brought onboard Uruguayan Jorge Fossati.

Garcia was born on 09 June 1983 in Barcelona. He started his football career in FC Barcelona, and then transferred on loan to Levante UD during the 2004/05 season. The Spaniard then moved to Real Zaragoza. On 2010 he moved to Real Betis and then finally to Espanyol in 2012.
