QSL side Al Wakrah has suffered a big injury blow ahead of the final three weeks of the QSL season. The club has confirmed that current QSL player of the month Sasha will be out for at least two weeks with a knee injury.
The Argentine striker picked up the injury in his sides 1-0 defeat to Umm Salal in round 23 of the QSL. Wakrah’s medical team confirmed the injury last night, via their website. The injury will be seen as a big blow for Mauricio Larriera’s side who are just four points away from the QSL relegation zone.
Sasha is set to miss the round 24 clash against Lekhwiya and could be unavailable for the potential relegation clash against Al Kharitiyat in round 25. Wakrah will be hoping that the Argentine hit-man can recover in time for the Al Kharitiyat clash, Sasha has enjoyed a fine season with the Blue Waves this term, bagging 16 goals in 22 QSL matches. He is currently third in the top scoring standings.
