Al Gharafa Football Club Team Manager Saoud Fatah told qsl.com.qa that the Cheetahs are working on finalizing all of the football team’s issues, most prominent of which is the summer acquisitions for the new season.

Saoud said: “The club management chaired by Sheikh Hamad Bin Thamer Al Thani is exerting all its efforts in order to support the team with quality players. The big transfer of Congolese striker Alain Dioko, the league’s top goal scorer was a very important move; he is a real asset for the team and I wish them the best of luck in the new season.”

Saoud went on to say that new Brazilian Head Coach Chamusca will also be very beneficial to the team, “Al-Gharafa will be different next season, I expect they will achieve good results.  Last season the team finished in 7th position with 36 points and we didn’t have that winning mentality, but with some sound summer signings and the new head coach, we have given ourselves a good foundation on which we can build.”

The Club is looking to complete all of their transfers before they go to Germany for their preseason training camp which will start on August 23.

The new Cheetahs head coach Chamusca will arrive into Doha at the start of July.
